Enjoy Alcova Reservoir boat rentals and watercraft activities on the North Platte River about 30 miles from Casper, Wyoming. The Alcova Reservoir covers 2,470 surface acres. Facilities include 6 campgrounds, 8 boat ramps, interpretive trail, resort, and marina. Available fish species include brown trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and walleye great for any who are going to fish. Rainbow and brown trout are stocked annually. Dinosaur interpretive trail is located near Cottonwood Creek Beach. Enjoy boat tours, wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, wakesurfing, kneeboarding, air chair, SUP's, and fishing.
A barrier-free fishing pier, restroom and shelter are located at Black Beach. Pathfinder Bird Refuge, Pathfinder Reservoir, and Seminoe Reservoir are nearby which are serviced by out company as well. Alcova Reservoir and its surrounding lands provide excellent water oriented recreational facilities and is the primary recreation area for Casper and the surrounding region. Sailboating and water skiing in summer and ice fishing in winter attract many visitors each year. Picnic areas, camp areas, hiking, swimming, and beach facilities are also popular.
