Concrete boat ramps, picnic areas and picnic shelters are available for use. There are 9 campgrounds, including on RV-only lot, for a total of 96 campsites. The Cattail Marsh nature trail offers wildlife watching opportunities for seasonal waterfowl.

Tongue River Reservoir has 154 campsites including 40 paved sites with electrical hookups, a fish cleaning station and an RV dump station.

The park is 640 acres in size at an elevation of 3,454 feet. The site has vault toilets, boat rentals, public phone, groceries, LP gas refill, grills/fire rings, picnic tables, trash cans, and drinking water. A golf course and two museums are located nearby in Sheridan, Wyoming.
