Red Fleet State Park is located in the heart of Dinosaur land, 10 miles north of Vernal, Utah, on Highway 191. The Utah State Park name was inspired by three large Navajo sandstone outcrops that jut up from the water like a fleet of ships. In scenic red rock country, 15 miles northwest of sunny St. George lies the 240-acre Gunlock Reservoir where year-round boating, watercraft rentals, water sports and quality fishing for bass and catfish attract visitors.
Facilities at Gunlock Reservoir include boat launching ramp, restrooms, camping spots, and camp fire pits. The lakes name comes from the small town north of the reservoir named Gunlock. This State Park is nice because not as many boaters are familiar with this lake; so your family, friends, or business associates have more enjoyable water conditions.
