Rockport Reservoir and marina has camping spots for tents or RV camp in one of five developed and primitive campgrounds.  Rockport Reservoir is a great lake to visit and is generally less crowded than Jordanelle Reservoir and Deer Creek Reservoir, plus Rockport Reservoir will generally have better boating water condition than the other lakes near Heber City.  During winter, ice fish and access nearby snowmobile trails.

Starvation Starvation Reservoir and State Park offer ski boat rentals, waverunner rentals, sea doo, PWC personal watercraft rentals, and guided boat tours of this lake.  The name for this lake is probably explained for the name involves settlers in the early 1900s trying to survive along the banks of the Strawberry River, in the area now occupied by the reservoir.  These settlers dealt with near starvation in a hostile environment.  Winters in the area are long and cold, and their livestock often died.  The area’s short growing season was hindered by floods, hail, frost and other difficult situations.  These settlers nicknamed the area Starvation.

Starvation State Park & Reservoir offers 3,500 acres of year-round fishing and boating fun four miles northwest of Duchesne on Highway 40 which is about an two hour drive from Utah Valley or Salt Lake Valley.  Starvation Reservoir is well worth the drive if you have a couple days to spend on the lake, with little to no boaters, and generally good water conditions this lake is great for wakeboarding, water skiing, wakesurfing, kneeboarding, boat tours, kneeboarding, stand up paddle boards and sunbathing.  A 54-unit campground, sandy beach, modern rest rooms, showers, group-use area, and fish cleaning and sewage disposal stations are available at Starvation.

Strawberry ReservoirVisitor information on Strawberry Reservoir boat rentals and jet ski rental company servicing four developed marinas with paved boat ramps at the reservoir: Strawberry Bay Marina, Renegade, Soldier Creek Marina, and Aspen Marina.  The Strawberry Bay and Soldier Creek Recreation complexes are full service marina developments that contain campground loops, sanitary dump stations, day use areas, group pavilions and marina stores.  In addition, the Strawberry Bay Recreation area contains a restaurant and a full service lodge for those visitors that enjoy being taken care of.  There are a variety of additional day use developments around the reservoir at such sites as Haws Point, Mud Creek, Chicken Creek East and West, Soldier Creek Bay, and Soldier Creek Dam.

The Forest Service operates a Visitor Information Center at the junction of US-40 and the West Side road.  Strawberry is located in Wasatch County, 65 miles east of Utah's heavily populated Wasatch Front.  Its elevation is approximately 7,602 feet.  Strawberry reservoir is contained largely within lands managed by the Uinta National Forest.  For all water sport adventure seakers Strawberry Reservoir provides the perfect lake for waverunner rentals, jet ski, sea doo, PWC personal watercraft rentals, flyboard, wakeboarding, water skiing, wakesurfing, and guided lake boat tours of Strawberry Reservoir.  There is a lot of fishermen find good action during spring and fall on the shore or boat.  Water near the surface warms during summer and so fish seek deeper areas where temperatures are more comfortable.
